SailGP F50 Left No Waves Behind in Halifax’s Harbour

When I say I was gitty about having SailGP back in Halifax, I was so excited. High speed sports, especially water sports, I have loved participating in and photographing for many years. Growing up on the east coast of Canada allowed me to be in and around the water for my entire life. I’ve been competing, coaching and watching water sports since I was 11.

One of my favourites to participate in is surfing, or driving watercrafts. So when I heard that SailGP was back in Halifax I knew I needed to be there to watch. And they did not disappoint… despite having next to no wind the first day. It was actually quite the show to watch as these boats that have capcity to reach over 100km an hour were struggling to even get to 15km due to no wind.

Thankfully, day two was much better for weather and they were able to fly through the water. Or I guess on top of the water.
